SESSION DESCRIPTION: Attempting to faithfully preach Christ from the Old Testament is challenging. There are so many serious pitfalls that some advocate a wholesale rejection of preaching Christ from any Old Testament text that does not specifically mention the coming Messiah. However, preaching Christ from the Old Testament does not need to be limited to certain books and passages. Instead, it needs the guardrails of careful exegesis and historical, grammatical hermeneutics. This seminar will show how these guardrails serve not to limit where Christ can be preached, but show how Christ can faithfully be preached throughout the Old Testament.

Getting discipleship into the bloodstream of your church may feel like an impossible challenge, but it is well worth the time and effort. It will greatly benefit your ministry long-term, both locally and globally. Andrew will look at Christ's mandate for discipleship and examine how this discipleship mindset might be practically reflected in your congregation, from leadership to youth.
